Safeguarding Policy
Last Updated: March 2026
1. Our Commitment
Circuit Canvas is fully committed to the safety, protection, and wellbeing of every child and young person who interacts with our programs. Safeguarding is embedded into every aspect of our operational planning and volunteer training.
2. Staff and Volunteer Vetting
All mentors, staff, and regular volunteers undergo mandatory background checks (Enhanced DBS checks in the UK) before leading or assisting with any student-facing workshops.
3. Digital Safety
Online environments used for virtual coding camps are strictly moderated. Unsupervised direct messaging between mentors and individual students is strictly prohibited. All digital learning environments are logged and recorded.
4. Reporting Concerns
If you have any concerns regarding the safety or wellbeing of a child involved in our programs, please contact our Safeguarding Lead immediately at hello@circuitcanvas.org.uk.
